Jirat Suppisankul, Chai Jeam-Amornrat and Patsarun Sriluansoi will share the experiences that drove them to become designers as well as their ideas for innovative materials, patterns and designs and the inspiration that underlies them. Founded in 2004, Headquarter quickly drew critical acclaim, culminating in a strong showing at Elle Fashion Week autumn/winter 2007. The brand now has three lines including Sunshine by Jirat, Chai by Chai and Realistic Situation by Patsarun. Born in 1973, Jirat graduated in communication arts from Bangkok University and went on to study at St Martin's School of Art and Design in London. His design vision emphasises youthful expression and personal experimentation in detail and style. "I think that in terms of design, all of us enjoy the extra work that success has brought - the extra satisfaction that goes with it, too," says Jirat. "We still have fun creating collections out of whatever we like." The 35-year-old Chai graduated from Silpakorn University, then Norway's Elite National College of Art and Design. His designs are more rooted in everyday life and he favours a simple and clean silhouette as a background that allows details to shine. Meanwhile Patsarun, a graduate in fashion design from Canada's Lasalle College, aims to inject a livelier, more fun feel into Thai streetwear. TCDC, on the sixth floor of the Emporium, is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30am to 10pm. Call (02) 664 8448 or visit www.TCDC.or.th or www.Headquarter.co.th. - Daily Xpress
